3 Tips For Botox Longevity

1. Getting The Correct Dose

Dose equals duration. The higher the dose the longer the treatment will last. If your provider is recommending a certain amount of units trust their clinical expertise. If you are new to your provider ensure they are aware of any past adverse events such as a spock brow, droopy eyelid or droopy eyebrow. This will give them some insight on how your muscles have reacted in the past dictating your correct dose. Trust your provider!

2. Takin a Zinc Supplement

Studies show at least 50% of the population are deficient in zinc. Neuromodulators (botox/dysport) need zinc to bind properly. Having optimal zinc levels will help the medication bind better, working more effectively.

3. Getting Routine Botox Treatment

Treating routinely at the 3-4 month interval will keep the muscles in a state of atrophy. This will weaken muscle movement overtime. When the muscle strength doesn't have the opportunity to come back fully, fine lines and wrinkles are decreased significantly. When starting botox treatments preventatively these lines may never appear. After consistent routine treatments you will notice your toxin treatment will begin to last longer.
